Private AI
A private AI receptionist. Your calls never leave our servers.
Most AI receptionists forward your calls to third-party AI providers for processing. Nxivo runs the entire AI pipeline, from speech recognition to the voice you hear, on infrastructure we operate ourselves.
How Nxivo keeps calls private
Speech recognition runs on our servers
Caller audio is transcribed by models running on Nxivo hardware. The audio is not uploaded to an outside speech-to-text API.
The language model is ours to run
The AI that understands the caller, answers questions and books appointments runs on our own GPUs, not on OpenAI, Google or Anthropic APIs.
Voice generation stays in-house
The receptionist's voice is generated on our infrastructure, so transcripts of what is said are never shared with a third-party voice provider.
Your data is not used to train outside models
Because no third-party AI provider ever receives your calls, your recordings and transcripts cannot end up in someone else's training data.
What stays private
Call recordings and transcripts
Stored in your Nxivo account for you to review, never processed by an outside AI service.
Caller details
Names, phone numbers, addresses and appointment details collected during calls stay within Nxivo.
Your business knowledge
Your services, prices, hours and policies that the receptionist uses to answer questions are held on our servers only.
Why it matters for a small business
- No third-party AI provider's data-retention or training policy applies to your calls.
- Client conversations for law firms, medical offices and financial services stay under one provider's control.
- Fewer vendors in the chain means fewer places a breach or policy change can expose your callers.

Private AI questions
What does "private AI" mean at Nxivo?+
It means the AI processing of your calls, including speech recognition, the language model and voice generation, happens on infrastructure Nxivo operates. Your call audio, transcripts and customer data are not sent to third-party AI providers such as OpenAI.
Do calls still travel over the normal phone network?+
Yes. Calls reach Nxivo over the public phone network like any business call. The private-AI guarantee covers what happens once the call reaches us: all AI processing is done on our own servers.
Does Nxivo use my calls to train AI models?+
Your calls are never shared with outside AI providers, so they cannot be used to train third-party models. We use your data only to run your receptionist and to show you recordings, transcripts and summaries in your dashboard.
Is private AI included in the $99 plan?+
Yes. There is one plan and private AI is part of it. There is no separate enterprise tier for keeping your data in-house.
